4 Things That Can Damage Your Roof
Spring and summer bring rain showers, and it’s important to make sure your home’s roof is prepared. At the beginning of the spring season, you might want to climb on your roof to inspect its condition and determine if there are any areas of concern. A damaged roof can result in leaks and flooding, which can lead to problems like wood rot and mold. Animals. Animals can get onto roofs and scratch, chew, and dig at the shingles. This can create punctures that allow water to penetrate your roof. Keep an eye on your roof and gutters for any sign of animal life, and clear away any animal nests you find.
