Salmon Summer Grilling Recipes
We have to say nothing is better than throwing the catch of the day onto the grill and having a BBQ! Salmon season is in full swing and we wanted to share a few of our favorite recipes. Give them a try this summer, and enjoy!
Cedar Plank Salmon
Cedar planks
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
5 tablespoons Dijon mustard
6 tablespoons brown sugar
It is very important that you soak the cedar planks in salted water for a few hours before placing them on the grill! Remove the skin from the salmon filet and then rinse the fish and pat dry. Generously salt and pepper the salmon on each side and then apply the brown sugar mixture. Place cedar plank on the grill at medium heat and cook thoroughly about 30 minutes. Once cooked you can serve this delicious meal right off the cedar plank to preserve the flavor! Yummy!
Simple Garlic and Onion Rub
1/4 cup dried onion
1/4 cup garlic powder
1/4 c salt
1/3 c paprika
1/3 c dried basil
Olive Oil
Take your salmon and apply a bit of olive oil to the flesh side and cover with rub. Making the rub is easy all you do is combine all ingredients into a bowl and stir! Heat the grill and place salmon on the grill and cook 5-10 minutes per side until salmon is well done and flakes easily. Cook time will depend on how thick your filet is! Remove from heat and enjoy!
Brown Sugar Rub
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 maple syrup
Melt butter and stir in brown sugar and syrup. Turn into a glaze. Wrap salmon filet into tinfoil and coat generously. Cook until salmon is well done. You should be able to flake it easily with a fork! Serve right away after cooling!
